Sleeveless Dress

I learned how to pattern a strapless dress. I used Ankara fabric for the corset. One mistake that I made with this garment is not basting stitching the edge of the corset to prevent it from stretching. Funny thing is, I finished the dress with an injured hand.

Blair Slip Dress

I learned how to make a slip dress. We draped the fabric on the dress form and marked out the pattern on the fabric. We traced the fabric pattern to pattern paper. We trued the pattern paper and cut the garment and sew it. I made a white version for a size 22, for myself, for my 22nd birthday.

Shift Dress

Beside the slip dress, this dress is the simplest thing I have made during fashion school. I have many Ankara fabrics from Nigeria. I decided to make this dress with Ankara fabric instead of buying more fabric at Joann Fabric Store.
